Dr. Bill Messier was named as the UNLV College of Business Researcher of the Year for 2008. Dr. Messier's 2008 articles appeared in the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accountancy, and Contemporary Accounting Research. He has also taken a leadership role in mentoring faculty in Accounting in their research endeavors.
The 2008 UNLV College of Business Teacher of the Year is Dr. Kim Charron. Dr. Charron is known for her innovative teaching techniques, including the extensive use of technology in the classroom. She teaches three different courses, including two graduate courses. Dr. Charron is passionate about teaching and has been involved in our efforts to launch a Global Entrepreneurship Experience in the fall of 2009.
