Scholarships |

The College of Business is fortunate to be able to award scholarships to eligible students. Please read the following information below for eligibility requirements and application procedures. Non-accounting students nominated for scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year were notified via UNLV e-mail on Friday, July 27. Accounting students nominated for scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year will be notified between July 30 and August 3, via UNLV e-mail. Please check this web site for further updates.
Who is eligible? Any undergraduate business student with at least a 2.75 UNLV GPA. Students with a minimum 3.0 UNLV are strongly encouraged to apply.
Some scholarships are need-based while others are grade-based. Other scholarships may have additional criteria specifying a specific major or state of residency, etc. For a list of scholarships and the eligibility criteria, please see the Summary of Eligibility Requirements.
When should you apply? Because the college awards scholarships for both the fall and spring semesters at the same time, applications must be submitted by March 1. How to apply? Interested students should complete and submit the online Student Financial Services scholarship application. In addition, accounting, finance and marketing students should contact their respective departments to see if there are any additional application procedures.
How will you be notified? The College of Business will contact those students who have been nominated to receive a scholarship via the students UNLV email accounts. Nominated students must... Students nominated must complete the Acknowledgment Form and the Scholarship Response Form. Not submitting these forms or not reading UNLV e-mails will result in a nominated student losing the scholarship. Some scholarships also require that the student write a thank-you letter to the scholarship donor. The award letter will indicate this to the student.
