Congratulations to the 2009 Donald W. Reynolds Governor's Cup Winners! UNLV's undergraduate team, Las Vegas Vertical Farms, took first place in the competition, held last week in Reno. The team received a $20,000 prize, and will compete in the second annual Tri-State Donald W. Reynolds Cup business plan competition at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. They'll compete against the top two undergraduate and graduate teams from Arkansas and Oklahoma for cash awards totaling $90,000.

business that grows organic produce hydroponically, generates energy,
and provides an interactive educational experience for tourists. Las
Vegas Vertical Farms is a joint-venture project with the Las Vegas
