| Former Dean of the College of Business Passes Away at age 65 |

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and the College of Business is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Norval Pohl, who died at the age of 65 following a battle with cancer. Dr. Pohl is survived by his wife, Dr. Barbikay Bissell Pohl, sons Prescott and Chandler, grandson Tennessee, brother Martin and half-brother Loren.
Dr. Pohl most recently was the Chief Academic Officer of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His long career in higher education also included serving as Provost and President of the University of North Texas, and as Dean of the UNLV College of Business and Vice President of Administrative and Financial Affairs for UNLV.
According to a statement released by Embry-Riddle, In lieu of flowers or cards, the family is requesting donations to help establish a memorial scholarship fund.... Contributions for the Dr. Norval Pohl Memorial Scholarship may be mailed to the Office of Development, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 3700 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86301. Checks should be made out to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and please note Pohl Memorial Scholarship on the memo line.
