UNLV MIS Department Receives High Research Ranking
A recent article in the Communications of the Association for Information Systems ranks the College of Business MIS Department 13th in the nation for research productivity. The article is based on the number of times research appeared in the three highest ranked peer-reviewed MIS journals, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, and MIS Quarterly between 2001 and 2005. The study showed that UNLV ranked in a four-way tie for the 13th spot, edging the highly competitive University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, along with University of California, Irvine, New York University, and University of Houston, which were tied at 18th to round out the top 20.
