 |
September 2, 2008 The College of Business' chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has been recognized internationally as a "Superior Chapter" for 2007-08 by the organization's board of directors. The chapter, led by accounting professor Tommy Moores, Ph.D., strives to promote the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems, and provides opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals.
"Recognition as a Superior Chapter is a significant accomplishment," says Nancy B. Nichols, Ph.D., 2008-09 Beta Alpha Psi president. "Under the leadership of Tommy Moores, the Theta Omicron chapter has far exceeded the minimum requirements of Beta Alpha Psi, and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism and leadership. Tommy Moores has provided an invaluable service to your academic institution."
Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919 and has more than 260 chapters on college and university campuses with more than 300,000 members.
