Thomas Tom Carroll, Ph.D.

Professor

Thomas M. Carroll is a Professor of Economics. Professor Carroll received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1972. Dr. Carroll arrived at UNLV in 1986 after serving on the faculty at Memphis State for 11 years. Dr. Carroll is actively involved in both the undergraduate and MA program at UNLV, teaching a variety of classes, including statistical analysis and micro theory. Dr. Carroll has published over 20 articles in scholarly journals, including publications in the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Southern Economic Journal, Land Economics, the American Economist, the Journal of Housing Economics. and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. Dr. Carroll has published two textbooks, and is currently working on a third which he distributes freely to his Economics of Discrimination students. In addition to his scholarly publications Dr. Carroll has extensive experience as an expert witness.
