Mary Riddel, Ph.D.Associate Professor |

Dr. Mary Riddel received her M.S. in Statistics and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Colorado State University.SPAN /SPANPrior to working at UNLV, she was the Senior Economist for the Economic Forecast Project at the University of California, Santa Barbara.SPAN /SPANHer research focuses on housing markets and regional environmental issues. She has done extensive work estimating the social costs of nuclear waste transport.SPAN /SPANHer current research examines altruism and the value of public goods. She is also interested in developing theoretical and empirical models for valuing health risks to children of arsenic in public and private drinking water.SPAN /SPANShe has published numerous academic articles in distinguished regional science and economics journals such as the Journal of Environmental Economic and Management, Journal of Regional Science, Land Economics, and Journal of Housing Economics. |
