William (Bill) Robinson, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor
Professor Robinson earned his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He teaches a variety of classes including quantitative methods, macroeconomics, urban economics and the economics of sports and entertainment. He is a two-time winner of the College of Businesses Distinguished Teaching Award. Professor Robinson is the past director of the Center for Business and Economics Research, where he was responsible for numerous federal, state and local government funded research grants. This work earned him recognition by Site Selection Handbook as one of the "25 Young Leaders in Geo-Economics." His research has focused on the Las Vegas and southern Nevada economies, and his work has appeared in both economics and hospitality journals, including an article of the year in the Cornell Quarterly. He has also writen in the world of information technology, and has served as the Director of System Computing Services in the NSHE, as a founding administrator of California State University, San Marcos, and as Director of Academic Computing at UNLV.
