LeinLein Chen, Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Lein-Lein Chen is an Associate Professor of Economics. Professor Chen arrived at UNLV in 1993 after receiving her Ph.D. from University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL. Dr. Chen research interests are in international trade and international monetary economics as well as development and applied microeconomics. Dr. Chen has published in a variety of professional journals, including Journal of International Money and Finance, the Journal of Development Economics, Oxford Economic Papers, and Public Choice. Dr. Chen is currently examining issues related to Chinese free-trade zones and foreign investment. She has just completed research on cross-country income differences and real exchange rates across US regions.
