Melvin (Mel) Jameson, Ph.D.

Professor
Professor Mel Jameson holds a bachelors degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his masters and PhD from the University of California Berkeley. He taught at the University of Rochester and Louisiana State University before coming to UNLV in 1989. His primary current research interest is the comparative performance of financial systems.

In addition to his duties as Professor of Finance, Professor Jameson serves as Coordinator of International Business Programs for the College of Business. He has received a Fulbright Senior Scholar Award, and has taught abroad in German and Spanish.
