Robert (Bob) Aalberts, J.D., M.A.Professor |

Robert J. Aalberts is the Lied Professor of Legal Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University and an M.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to his academic career, he was an attorney for the Gulf Oil Company. Professor Aalberts primary research interests include real estate law and employment law. He has also published over 105 articles in legal and business periodicals, including The Ohio State Law Journal, The American Business Law Journal, The Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, San Diego Law Review, Real Property, Probate & Trust Journal, Journal of Law & Commerce (U. of Pittsburgh School of Law), Nevada Law Journal (Boyd School of Law), Marquette Law Review, DePaul Law Review, Louisiana Law Review, Pepperdine Law Review, Southern Illinois University Law Journal, The Employee Relations Law Journal, Labor Law Journal, Journal of Legal Studies Education, Southern University Law Review, Real Estate Law Journal, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Real Estate Literature, the Communications of the Association of Computing Machinery (CACM) and the Journal of Business Ethics.
Professor Aalberts is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Real Estate Law Journal where he has served for the past 16 years. He is also a former Staff Editor of the Journal of Legal Studies Education. Professor Aalberts is co-author of the textbook, Law and Business: The Regulatory Environment, 1994, published by the McGraw-Hill Book Company and Real Estate Law, 7th ed., 2009, published by Southwestern/Cengage Learning.
