William Corney, Ph.D.

Professor
William Corney was born in Dearborn, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan, receiving a bachelors degree in electrical engineering. He worked for General Dynamics in San Diego, California and later for Bendix Field Engineering Corporation in Freetown, Bahamas; Georgetown, Ascension Island; and Madrid, Spain. He received an MBA from Eastern Michigan University and a Ph.D. in management from Arizona State University. He has been on the faculty of UNLV since 1976. His international teaching experience has been as follows: Visiting Professor, Southwestern University for Nationalities, ChengDu, China, Fall, 2004; Visiting Lecturer, Xian Technological University, Xian China, Winter intercession, 2002; Visiting Professor, Andres Bello National University, Santiago, Chile, Fall semester, 2000; Visiting Professor, Moldova State University, Chisinau, Moldova, Winter Intersession, 1998; Conference Organizer, Entrepreneurship, Astrakhan, Russia, Summer, 1996, Visiting Professor, Soros Foundation, Chisinau, Moldova, Summer School, 1995, 1996, 1997; Visiting Professor, Scuola di Amministrazione Aziendale, Turin, Italy, Fall semester, 1991.
