Financial assistance can be an integral part of a students education regardless of the level of education achieved. The College of Business, Financial Aid and Scholarships office, and Graduate College offer several forms of financial aid that includes grants, loans, scholarships, fellowships and graduate assistantships to assist MBA students to obtain a degree.
College of Business The College of Business offers financial assistance through fellowships and graduate assistantships. The application is available as a single, unified online application. Applicants may indicate a preference for which type of assistance that would be preferred.
College of Business MBA Fellowships Fellowships provide students with direct financial support. In most cases, fellowships are contingent on full-time enrollment in the MBA program (9 or more hours of MBA courses per semester) and continued good academic standing (3.0 GPA). Fellowships are awarded for the academic year and are not provided for more than two years of support, with recipients receiving preference when re-applying for the second year. Applicants submitting a completed College of Business MBA fellowship application to the MBA office will be considered for all fellowships for which the applicant is eligible. If applicants would like to be considered for fellowships in which financial need is a selection criterion, the applicant should also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the US Department of Education. The priority application deadline for all fellowships is March 1.
UNLV and College of Business has established relationships with individuals and companies that have a desire to assist talented business-oriented students with the challenge of acquiring an education and achieving dreams. The College of Business fellowships include but are not limited to the following:
Robert S and Dorothy J Keyser College of Business Graduate Fellowships: Awarded based on potential for academic and professional success. The award amount is $5,000 ($2,500 per semester).

Graduate Assistantships A graduate assistantship provides a higher level of financial support and can not be combined with other employment. Graduate assistantship positions are available on a competitive basis to students admitted to any graduate degree program. Graduate assistants must enroll in and maintain a minimum of 6 semester hours of graduate credit and are required a work commitment of 20 hours per week. The nine-month stipend is $10,000 for masters level assistantships plus tuition waivers. In addition, graduate assistants have the option of student health insurance, which is a $1,000 value. The deadline for priority consideration is March 1. Applications may be accepted after this date in the event of an unexpected opening for the fall semester. In rare cases in which an assistantship is available for the spring semester, the application deadline is November 1.
