Andrew Hardin, Ph.D.Assistant Professor |

Andrew Hardin is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems at Washington State University, and holds both a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in MIS from California State University, Bakersfield.
Professor Hardin's research interests include virtual teams, human-computer interaction, virtual worlds, collective cognition, group performance, and the application of Social Cognitive Theory in IS. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in in journals such as Management Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, DATABASE, Small Group Research, Journal of Hospitality & Marketing Management, and Group Decision and Negotiations. Hardin currently serves as Associate Editor for Information Systems Journal, and as reviewer for various academic outlets including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, DATABASE, International Journal of Human Computer Studies, Group Dynamics, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Human Relations, Small Group Research, and Information Technology and People. Hardin currently teaches graduate level courses on Information Technology Management, Advanced Web Development and Ecommerce, and Information Systems Planning & Strategy .
Dr. Hardin also has extensive industry experience, including a senior management position as Material Coordinator on a $77 million refinery expansion project for Texaco Refining and Marketing. Prior to joining the faculty at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Dr. Hardin was employed at the College of William and Mary as an assistant professor responsible for teaching courses such as Visual Basic.NET programming, Web programming, IS Strategy, Accounting Information Systems, Introduction to IS, and Computer Applications for Business. |
